In a bowl, combine 2 cups of whole wheat flour and 2/3 cups of cocoa powder.

Prepare a chia egg by mixing 2 tablespoons of chia seeds with 4 tablespoons of water and let it rest for about 5 minutes.

In another bowl, add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/2 cup of apple sauce, and 1 cup of maple syrup.

Add the chia egg to the liquid ingredients and mix until well combined.
