Start by toasting 2 pablano peppers in a cast iron skillet until they get a char on them.

Scrape off any peeling skin from the pablano peppers and cut them into chunks.

Add 3 lbs of 85/15 ground turkey to the skillet.

Add a packet of mild taco seasoning to the turkey.

Add a pinch of salt to the turkey and about 2-3 tablespoons of tomato paste, mixing it together and browning it in the skillet.

Transfer the browned turkey mixture to a 6-quart Crock Pot.

In the skillet, add about half a tablespoon of butter and sauté the chopped pablano peppers, onion, and garlic until they get a little color, about 5 minutes.

Add one can of chipotle peppers to the Crock Pot.

Add two cans of fire roasted tomatoes and three cans of mixed chili beans to the Crock Pot without draining them.

Add one tablespoon of Better Than Bouillon chicken base and a little water to create a broth.

Add an extra tablespoon of chili powder and a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce to the Crock Pot.

Add a little sugar to balance the flavors, and place a bay leaf in the mixture.
