Combine all dry ingredients: flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl and stir well.
Gradually add the egg and warm milk to the dry ingredients, stirring until combined.
Add room temperature butter and stir until absorbed.
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes on an oiled surface, using a folding and turning technique.
After kneading, let the dough rest for 30 to 45 minutes, covered.
(Optional) Pan-fry banana in a little butter.
After resting, divide the dough into 12 pieces, using oil on hands and surface to make it easier.
Shape each piece into a ball and press it into a circular motion.
Roll out the dough and wrap the banana inside each piece.
Arrange the shaped dough on a baking tray and cover with a kitchen towel to rise for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180°C for about 15 minutes while the dough rises, keeping it uncovered.
Brush the tops with milk and sprinkle with shredded cheese before baking.
Bake for around 25 minutes until golden brown.
Brush the tops with butter while still hot.
