Amazing Gibanica – Serbian Phyllo Feta Cheese Pie

Melt 1 stick of butter and combine it with 1 stick of Philadelphia cream cheese.

Crumble 10.5 ounces of feta cheese and add it to a bowl.

Add 24 ounces of cottage cheese to the bowl.

Add 3 tablespoons of sour cream to the mixture.

Separate 5 eggs, beat the egg whites until fluffy, and add the yolks to the mixture.

Combine all ingredients in the bowl until smooth, then fold in the egg whites.

Brush a pan with the melted butter and oil mixture.

Layer phyllo dough in the pan, oiling each layer.

Spread filling mixture on top of the phyllo dough layers, repeating the process.

Fold in the sides of the phyllo dough and brush the top with a mixture of egg and sour cream.

Poke holes in the top for venting.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake for 10 minutes, then lower to 350 degrees and bake for another 30-40 minutes.
