Heat 3 to 4 tbsp sunflower oil in a large pot until hot.

Add 4 to 5 cloves, 1 black cardamom, 1 stick of cinnamon, and 1 tsp cumin seeds to the pot.

Add the chopped onions and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until softened.

Finely chop 4 cloves of garlic and a piece of ginger, then add to the pot and cook for 2 minutes.

Add 4 roughly chopped tomatoes and 1/2 tsp salt, cooking for 5 minutes until tomatoes soften.

Add 1.5 kg of chopped chicken pieces and 100 g of natural yogurt, mixing well.

Add 3/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp turmeric, 2 tsp ground coriander, 1 tsp chili powder, and 1 tsp homemade garam masala, mixing everything together.

Add 150 ml of plain water, cover, and cook on low heat for 45 minutes.

Peel and half 4 potatoes, then add them to the curry after 30 minutes of cooking.

Continue to cook for an additional 20 minutes on low heat.
