This dish has gained popularity across India and is often enjoyed as a quick snack or at festive gatherings, with variations emerging in different regions.

Both alternatives add freshness and crunch.
Roast 2 tbsp of coriander seeds, 1 tbsp of cumin, 2 cardamom pods, 1 tsp of cloves, 1 bay leaf, 1 tsp of fennel seeds, 1 tsp of black peppercorns, and 1 inch of cinnamon stick on medium flame until aroma comes. Let it cool down.
In a jar, add the roasted ingredients, 1/2 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of dry mango powder, 1 tsp of black salt, 1 tbsp of sugar, 1 tbsp of red chili powder, and 1 tbsp of grated dry coconut. Blend into a fine powder.
In a bowl, add the powdered masala and 1 tbsp of oil. Mix it properly to make homemade dabeli masala.
In a pan, heat 1 tbsp of oil and add 1/2 tsp of cumin and 1/4 tsp of asafoetida. Saute until aroma comes.
Add 3 tbsp of dabeli masala powder to the pan and saute for 2 minutes.
Add 4 medium boiled and mashed potatoes to the pan, along with 1 tsp of salt. Combine well.
Add 5 tbsp of water to the mixture for softness and mix well. Let the stuffing cool down.
Spread 2 tbsp of grated coconut, 2 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves, 2 tbsp of pomegranate seeds, and 2 tbsp of roasted peanuts on the stuffing.
Take a piece of pav and slit it in the middle. Spread 1 tsp of red chutney and 1 tsp of green chutney inside.
Add the stuffing accordingly, close the pav, and press lightly.
Heat a tawa and add 1 tsp of ghee or butter and some chopped coriander leaves. Spread it properly.
Place the stuffed pav on the tawa and toast on both sides until perfectly toasted.
