Put 60 grams of butter in a pan.
Add 4.5 cups of water to a pot.
Add 1 cup of sugar to the water and mix until dissolved.
Add 4 or 5 pieces of currants and some cinnamon powder to the water mixture.
Melt the butter completely.
Add 1 cup of semolina to the melted butter and mix on low heat to avoid burning.
Cook the semolina until it turns brown, stirring constantly.
Once the semolina is brown, add it to the water mixture and mix well.
Cover the pot and let it cook on low heat.
After cooking, let the mamounieh rest before serving.
Serve the mamounieh on a plate and sprinkle cinnamon powder on top.
