700ml boiling water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon turmeric
2 medium onions
1 tomato
2 garlic cloves
1 heaped tablespoon ghee

1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon red chili powder

Rinse 250g split red lentils under cold water.

Add 700ml boiling water to the lentils and a teaspoon of salt and turmeric.
