1

Add 1 cup of warm milk to a mixing bowl.

2

Add 3 tablespoons of sugar to the warm milk and cover it. Let it rest for 5 minutes.

3

After 5 minutes, add 2 teaspoons of dry yeast to the milk mixture and cover it again. Let it rest for 15 minutes.

4

After 15 minutes, add 1 tablespoon of salt and 3 tablespoons of melted margarine to the mixture.

5

Add 4 cups of all-purpose flour to the bowl and begin mixing with your hands.

6

Knead the dough on a surface for about 8 to 10 minutes until it becomes stretchy.

7

Add a little cooking oil to the mixing bowl to prevent sticking, then place the dough in the bowl and cover it.

8

Let the dough rise for about 40 to 45 minutes or until it doubles in size.

9

After 1 hour, punch down the dough and divide it into four equal pieces.

10

Shape each piece into a log and then flatten it into a rectangle, not needing to be perfect.

11

Apply water to the edges of the dough to help it stick together when frying.

12

Cut the rectangle into triangles.

13

Cover the triangles for about 5 to 10 minutes while preheating the cooking oil for frying.

14

Check if the cooking oil is ready by inserting a wooden stick; if it bubbles, the oil is ready.

15

Deep fry the triangles in the hot oil, turning them until they are golden brown on both sides.
