2 tblsps butter
2 tsps cumin seeds (Jeera)
2 big onions finely chopped (1 1/2 cups)
1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)
2 tsps heaped garlic paste
2 tsps heaped ginger paste
2 green chillies chopped (less spicy)
4 medium tomatoes finely chopped
2 tsps salt (or as per taste)
2 medium capsicums finely chopped (1 cup)
2 tblsps Kashmiri red chilly powder
1 tblsp Pav Bhaji masala
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi powder)
1 cup boiled green peas (mutter)
2 potatoes boiled, peeled and chopped
500 grams Basmati rice (cooked upto 80%)
1 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 cup coriander leaves

Heat oil and 1 tblsp butter, add Jeera. As it turns brown, add onions. Sauté till onions turn light brown then add garlic paste, ginger paste and sauté for 1 minute.

Add chopped green chillies, tomatoes and mix. Add salt and cook till the tomatoes get soft.

Mash the tomatoes and masala with a Pav Bhaji masher. Add capsicum and mix. Cook the capsicum for 1 minute.

Add red chilly powder, Pav Bhaji masala, Haldi powder and mix. Cook the masala for 1 minute.

Add boiled mutter and mix. Cook for 1 minute. Add boiled potatoes and mix.

Add 1/2 cup water and mix. Add cooked Basmati rice and mix (rice cooked upto 80%).

Add garam masala powder and mix. Add 1/2 cup coriander leaves and the remaining butter and mix.
