3/4 ounce ginger syrup
3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
crushed ice

Peel ginger with a spoon.

Chop ginger into small pieces.

Cover chopped ginger with water in a blender.

Blend the ginger and water mixture until smooth.

Strain the mixture to extract ginger juice.

Put the ginger juice back in the blender.

Add equal parts sugar to the ginger juice and blend until mixed.

Eyeball 3/4 ounce of ginger syrup and pour it into a glass.

Eyeball 3/4 ounce of fresh lime juice and add it to the glass.

Pour 2 ounces of vodka into the glass.

Fill the glass three-quarters of the way with crushed ice.

Use a swizzle stick or mixing spoon to swizzle the drink for 10 to 15 seconds.
