Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot over medium heat until it reaches 350°F.
Scoop small portions of the dough and carefully drop them into the hot oil.
Fry the puff puff until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
