Instructions

  1. 1In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. 2Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats are cooked and creamy.
  3. 3Stir in the cacao powder, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix well until fully combined.
  4. 4Add the chopped dried figs and stir to incorporate them into the oatmeal.
  5. 5If using, add the cinnamon and chopped walnuts for extra flavor and texture.
