Beef and Cheese Kolaches

Mix warm milk and sugar in a bowl until dissolved.
Sprinkle yeast over the mixture and let sit until foamy, about 5-10 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt; create a well in the center.
Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg into the well; mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
Meanwhile, cook chopped onion and garlic in a skillet until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
Add ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned; season with salt, pepper, and mustard.
Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Punch down the risen dough and divide into equal portions.
Roll each portion into a circle, place a spoonful of the filling in the center, and fold over to seal.
Place on a baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
