This refreshing drink has evolved into a classic cocktail enjoyed worldwide, often associated with summer gatherings and elegant parties. Today, variations exist, including the use of different spirits or flavored syrups, allowing for creative twists on the traditional recipe.

Vodka offers a smoother taste while rum provides a different flavor profile.
Cut the whole lime into many pieces.
Put the lime pieces in a blender.
Add about 100 milliliters of simple sugar syrup to the blender.
Blend the mixture until smooth.
Strain the mixture to get the lime cordial.
Measure out 35 milliliters of the lime cordial.
Add 25 milliliters of lemon juice to the cordial.
Pour in 2 ounces of gin into the mixture.
Strain the final mixture into a glass.
Garnish with lime peel.
