How to Make Hard Boiled Eggs in the Oven

Egg whites reduce cholesterol while providing protein.

Select large eggs for best results.

Choose a muffin tin to hold the eggs, or use an oven-safe rack on a baking sheet to prevent rolling.

Preheat the oven to 325°F.

Place the eggs in the muffin tin or on the rack.

Bake the eggs for 25 minutes for a slightly soft yolk and fully cooked whites, or 30 minutes for a drier yolk and more consistent results.

Remove the eggs from the oven and transfer them to a bowl of ice water.

Allow the eggs to sit in the ice water bath for at least 5 minutes to cool.

Gently crack the eggs all over and peel off the shell, using a spoon to help remove the shell easily.

Note that fresh eggs will be harder to peel than older eggs.

Be aware that baked hard-boiled eggs may have cosmetic spots on the whites.
