Egg whites reduce cholesterol while providing protein.

1

Add enough water to a pot to cover the eggs by about an inch to an inch and a half.

2

Turn the heat to high and bring the water to a full boil.

3

Remove the eggs from the fridge to warm up for a few minutes while waiting for the water to boil.

4

Once the water is boiling, use a skimmer spoon to gently place the eggs into the water.

5

Set a timer for 6 minutes for soft boiled eggs and another timer for 8 minutes for medium boiled eggs.

6

Prepare an ice water bath in a large bowl while the eggs are boiling.

7

After 6 minutes, remove the soft boiled eggs and place them into the ice water bath for 2 to 3 minutes.

8

After 8 minutes, remove the medium boiled eggs and place them into the ice water bath for 2 to 3 minutes.

9

For hard boiled eggs, fill the pot with water and bring it to a full boil.

10

Using the skimmer spoon, gently add the eggs to the pot and set a timer for 7 minutes.

11

After 7 minutes, turn off the heat, cover the pot with a lid, and let it sit for another 7 minutes for a total of 14 minutes.

12

Add the hard boiled eggs to the ice water bath and let them soak for at least 10 minutes before peeling.

13

To peel the eggs, gently tap them all around to crack the shell, starting from the bottom where the air pocket is.

14

Run the egg under cold or cool water while peeling to help the shell come off more easily.
