1/2 cup unsalted softened butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups peeled, cored, chopped apples
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 cup toasted chopped walnuts
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
3 tbsp. flour (for streusel)
1/4 cup light brown sugar (for streusel)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon (for streusel)

Preheat the oven to 375F/190C.

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and baking soda.

In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and light brown sugar until smooth.

Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.

Stir in the chopped apples and lemon juice.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the toasted chopped walnuts.

For the streusel, mix together flour, light brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, and chopped walnuts until crumbly.
