Prepare a spice rub using chili powder, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and white pepper.
Score the skin of the salmon fillet about half an inch apart to prevent it from shrinking during cooking.
Sprinkle salt into the scored cuts of the salmon.
Rub the spice mix onto the salmon fillet and drizzle with grapeseed oil.
Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat and grease it with grapeseed oil.
Place the salmon skin-side down in the pan and let it cook without moving it for 3 to 4 minutes.
Flip the salmon when it is cooked about two-thirds of the way up, cooking for another 3 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 140 degrees.
Look for white fluid around the sides of the salmon as an indicator of doneness.
Remove the salmon from the pan and let it rest on a plate.
Serve the salmon topped with mango salsa.
