1

Start with the Hungarian peppers, cut out the hot membrane to reduce spiciness, and chop into small pieces.

2

Prepare carrots and parsnips, cutting them into small bite-sized pieces.

3

Chop 2 kilos of beef into cubes.

4

Make Csipetke (Hungarian pasta) by mixing approximately 1 cup of flour with enough water to form a dough, then pinch off small pieces and roll them into little balls.

5

Set up a fire pit with real wood and let it burn down to hot coals.

6

Add about a quarter cup of oil to a pot hanging over the fire.

7

Add 3 big chopped onions to the pot and sauté until translucent.

8

Add 2-4 tablespoons of paprika to the onions, stirring to mix, and remove from the fire to avoid burning the paprika.

9

Return the pot to the fire and add the chopped beef, cooking until browned.

10

Add a handful of salt and a little black pepper to the meat.

11

Prepare tomatoes by boiling them for a minute to remove the skin, then chop and add to the pot, stirring to combine.

12

Add a splash of red wine to the mixture in the pot.

13

Once the meat is cooked, add the prepared carrots and parsnips to the pot.

14

Add diced potatoes along with the water they were in, stirring to combine.

15

Add about a teaspoon of caraway seeds to the soup.

16

Let the soup cook until everything is tender and well combined.
