Traditionally enjoyed with lingonberry sauce and creamy gravy, they symbolize comfort and home cooking. Today, they are a beloved dish worldwide, popularized by Swedish furniture giant IKEA, where they are often served in their cafes.

In a large bowl, combine 450 grams of ground beef and 450 grams of ground veal.
Add 75 grams of plain bread crumbs, 1 finely chopped medium red onion, 2 tablespoons of finely chopped fresh parsley, 1 large egg, 0.5 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of kosher salt.
Add 0.5 teaspoon of ground allspice, 0.5 teaspoon of ground nutmeg, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder to the mixture.
Mix thoroughly until there are no dry spots from the breadcrumbs.
Cover with serrano wrap and refrigerate for about 10 minutes.
After refrigerating, roll the mixture into walnut-sized meatballs using a 1 tablespoon ice cream scoop.
In a large skillet, heat 2-3 tablespoons of avocado oil over medium heat.
Fry the meatballs in batches, shaking the pan to roll them until browned on all sides, then remove from the skillet.
In a large chicken fryer cast iron, heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and 30 grams of butter until melted.
Add 2 cups of finely chopped mushrooms and fry until they release their juices and crisp up.
Stir in 4 tablespoons of flour and cook for a couple of minutes.
Gradually add 900 milliliters of organic beef broth, stirring to break up lumps until smooth.
Bring the gravy to a full boil until it thickens, then add 100 milliliters of heavy cream, 0.5 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon of kosher salt, and 0.25 teaspoon of freshly ground nutmeg.
Add the cooked meatballs to the gravy, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
