Heat quarter kilo of oil in a large pot.

Add 2 teaspoons of ginger garlic paste and 2 teaspoons of chili powder to the oil.

Add 4 Shimla peppers, 1 bunch of cilantro, and 1 bunch of mint to the pot.

Add 2 kg of chicken to the pot and mix well.

Add 200 g of yogurt to the chicken mixture and stir.

Add 2 big handfuls of salt and homemade garam masala and tandoori masala to the pot.

Add 50 g of water to prevent sticking.

Add 2 kg of basmati rice on top of the chicken mixture without stirring.

Cover the pot and cook for 1 hour on low heat.

After cooking, place a heavy object on top to trap steam.

Let it rest for 20-25 minutes before serving.
