Coriander Powder 1 tsp
Roasted Cumin Powder 1 tbsp
Yogurt 1 Cup
Tomato 3 Medium Size (cut in quarters)
Lemon Juice 3 Tbsp
Fried Onion 3/4 Cup
Sugar 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder 1 tbsp
Biryani masala 1 Pack (approx. 50gm)
Green Chillies 5-6 Pieces (cut in halves)
Extra Long Grain Basmati Rice 1kg
Water as required
Star Anise 2 Pieces
Oil 3 Tbsp
Salt 1 Tbsp

Soak Extra Long Grain Basmati Rice for 30 minutes and drain.

In a large pot, heat Oil and fry the sliced Onions until golden brown.

Add Ginger Paste and Garlic Paste, and sauté until fragrant.

Add Chicken Legs and cook until browned.

Stir in Salt, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder, Roasted Cumin Powder, and Yogurt; mix well.

Add quartered Tomatoes and Lemon Juice; cook until tomatoes soften.

Add Biryani masala and mix well.

Layer the soaked rice on top of the chicken mixture without stirring.

Pour in Water as needed, and add Star Anise and Green Chillies.

Cover the pot and cook on low heat until the rice is done.

Garnish with Fried Onion before serving.
