🥗Healthier: tofu

💰Cheaper: mixed vegetables

Tofu offers a plant-based option, while mixed vegetables reduce costs.

sesame oil

🥗Healthier: olive oil

💰Cheaper: vegetable oil

Olive oil is a healthier fat choice, while vegetable oil is more economical.

1

Measure 4 cups of all-purpose flour.

2

Add about 1 cup of water (a little more if required) and knead into a soft dough.

3

Wrap the dough in cling wrap and let it rest.

4

For the filling, mix 900 grams of ground beef and ground pork.

5

In a food processor, make a semi-fine paste out of onions, ginger, and green onions, keeping it a bit chunky.

6

Add a handful of cilantro leaves to the vegetable mix.

7

Combine the vegetable mix with the ground meat, adding soy sauce, oil, a cube of chicken stock, and 3 tablespoons of mixed garam masala, coriander, ginger, cumin, and curcuma powder.

8

Add about 100 milliliters of water to the filling to keep it juicy and refrigerate while making the wrappers.

9

Unwrap the dough and knead for a minute until it's not sticky or dry.

10

Divide the dough into four equal pieces and roll each into a longish roll.

11

Break off small pieces roughly the size of a walnut.

12

Lightly flour your work surface and roll out each dough piece into flat rounds about 8 centimeters in diameter.

13

Process the flat rounds quickly to prevent sticking.

14

Take a dough wrapper, place about a forkful of filling inside, fold it in half, and pinch the edges to seal the dumpling.

15

Stack the finished Momos on an oiled steamer surface.

16

Fill the bottom of the steamer with boiling water and steam the dumplings with the lid on for 15 minutes.
