bajra flour

🥗Healthier: whole wheat flour

💰Cheaper: maida

Whole wheat flour offers a healthier option with more fiber.

ghee

🥗Healthier: olive oil

💰Cheaper: vegetable oil

Olive oil provides a healthier fat alternative.

1

Start by preparing a mixture of 1 cup water and 2 teaspoons ghee in a pan.

2

Add 1/2 teaspoon ajwain and 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder to the water and ghee mixture.

3

Add 1/4 cup jaggery to the mixture, stirring well to combine.

4

Heat the mixture until it starts to boil, then reduce the flame to low.

5

Add 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds and 2 tablespoons of flax seeds to the mixture.

6

Mix well and then add 2 tablespoons of grated coconut.

7

Once everything is mixed, add 1 cup of bajra flour to the mixture.

8

Turn off the flame and mix everything together until combined.

9

Let the mixture cool until it is touchable, then knead it into a dough.

10

If the dough is too wet, add a little more bajra flour to adjust the consistency.

11

Once the dough is ready, divide it into small portions and shape them into balls.

12

Roll each ball into a flat circle using dry flour for dusting.

13

You can either bake the roti in an oven or air fryer for a crispy texture, or fry them on medium flame in a pan.

14

If frying, ensure to flip the roti until it is golden brown and cooked through.
