3 tbsp water
1 cup fresh milk (whole milk)

2 whole eggs
1 egg yolk
1/2 tbsp lemon extract/juice (optional)

Dissolve 4 tbsp sugar and 3 tbsp water in low-medium heat to make caramel. DO NOT STIR after sugar dissolves and syrup starts to simmer.

In a bowl, combine 1 cup fresh milk, 4 tbsp sugar, 2 whole eggs, and 1 egg yolk. Add 1/2 tbsp lemon extract/juice and vanilla flavoring if desired.

Pour the custard mixture into a mold.

Steam the mixture for about 30 minutes, testing with a toothpick to check doneness.
