Prawn Vada

Prawns - 200g
Rice flour - 150g
Onion - 4
Green Chilli - 2
Curry leaves - a handful
Coriander - a handful
Mint leaves - a handful
Ginger Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - to fry

Chop the onion, curry leaves, coriander, mint leaves and green chilli to small pieces.

Heat a tawa with little oil. Once the oil is ready, add the chopped onion and the salt and saute for few minutes.

When the onion is half cooked, add the chopped green chilli, coriander, curry leaves and mint leaves into the tawa.

Saute well and add the ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder.

After a minute add the cleaned prawns into the tawa.

Allow them to cook for 2 minutes.

Switch off the stove and add the rice flour little by little and leave the mixture to rest for 10 minutes.

Bring the mixture to Vada batter by adding warm water if needed.

Heat a pan with required oil to deep fry the Vada.

Once the oil gets ready, grease your hand with little oil and take a small portion of the batter and make the shape of a Vada and drop one by one into the hot oil.

Do not overcrowd. As soon as one side gets fried turn the other side and wait for few minutes.
