Heat water in a large pot over medium heat until boiling

Incorporate rice and stir well
Pour in the reserved beef broth and bring to a simmer
Add shredded beef back to the pot
Mix in chopped walnuts, spices, and bay leaves
Simmer for 20-30 minutes until rice is cooked
Stir in vinegar and fresh herbs before serving
