1

Add butter and brown sugar into a measuring cup with milk and heat in the microwave for one minute.

2

Mix well and pour the yeast into the mixture, then mix again and let dissolve for 5 to 10 minutes.

3

In a large bowl, combine flour, raisins, candied fruit, and eggs.

4

Once the yeast is dissolved, add the milk mixture to the bowl and mix everything together.

5

Prepare almond paste by mixing ground almonds, brown sugar, and egg white in a dish. If too dry, add a little bit of water until it sticks together when squeezed.

6

Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

7

Place the dough on the baking sheet and flatten it as much as possible.

8

Shape the almond paste like a sausage and place it in the middle of the dough.

9

Fold one long side of the dough over the almond paste, then fold the ends over, and finally fold up the other long side.

10

Turn the bread over so the folds are underneath to prevent opening during baking.

11

Let the bread rise for about 30 minutes in a warm oven.

12

Preheat the oven to 200 Celsius (400 Fahrenheit).

13

Bake the bread for about 20 minutes and then let it cool down.
