Combine 600g sugar and 230ml water in a pot and heat over medium heat for 15 minutes.

Add 15ml lemon juice to the mixture.

In a separate bowl, mix 90g corn starch with 575ml water and 1 tsp cream of tartar.

Pour the corn starch mixture into the pot and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add 1 tsp vanilla extract and food coloring to the mixture.

Grease a mold with cooking oil and pour the mixture into it.

Let it set for 3 hours before cutting into pieces.
