Cultural Context

Chowder has roots in New England, where fishermen would create hearty soups using the day's catch. This easy canned clam and seafood chowder reflects the region's maritime heritage, making seafood accessible to home cooks. It's a comforting dish often enjoyed on chilly days, and variations can be found across the U.S., with some adding corn or bacon for extra flavor.
