Prepare a stockpot with a lid and a metal colander or steamer basket that fits inside the pot.

Fill the bottom of the pot with a couple of inches of water, ensuring the eggs will not touch the water.

Place the eggs in the colander or steamer basket, piling them in without needing a single layer.

Cover the pot with the lid and place it on the stove over high heat.

Once the water starts boiling, set a timer for 20 minutes without lifting the lid.

After 20 minutes, carefully lift the colander or steaming basket out of the pot and transfer it to the sink.

Run cool water over the eggs to cool them down quickly.

Once the eggs are cool enough to touch, start peeling them.
