5 cups leftover bread (cut into cubes)
5 large eggs
1 can evaporated milk
500 ml water
2 tbsp finely chopped onions
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
1/4 cup shredded ham
2 tbsp butter for frying
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup chopped parsley
freshly grated cheddar cheese for topping
more butter for topping
more shredded ham for topping if you like

Fry the chopped onions and garlic in butter before adding to the egg and milk mixture.

Mix the fried onions and garlic with the eggs, evaporated milk, water, salt, and sugar.

Add the cubed bread to the mixture and let it soak.
