1 large tomato, finely chopped

Boil 250 grams of broad beans and set aside in a bowl with some water.

Heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon of oil.

Once the oil is hot, add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds and 1 large finely chopped onion; mix and cook for 1 minute.

Add a paste made from 2 cloves, 2 green cardamom pods, and 2 inches of ginger, along with 1 tablespoon of red chili powder, 2 tablespoons of coriander powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder; mix well and cook for 1 minute.

Add 2 tablespoons of grated coconut to the mixture and stir.

Cover and cook for a while to let the flavors meld.

Add 1 large finely chopped tomato and mix well; cook until the tomato is soft.

Add the boiled broad beans along with some of the water they were boiled in; adjust salt to taste.

Cover and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes to thicken the gravy.
