1/2 Cup Oil
2 Medium Size Onion (Chopped)
2 Cinnamon Sticks (1 Inch Piece)
2 Bay Leaves
3-4 Green Cardamom
4-5 Cloves
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic (Paste)
1 tbsp Green Chillies (Crushed)
3 Cups White Chickpeas (Boiled)
1 tbsp Salt Or As Required
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
1/2 tbsp Black Pepper Powder
1 tbsp Coriander Seeds (Roasted and Crushed)
1/2 tbsp Fennel Seeds (Roasted and Crushed)
2 Large Size Tomatoes (Chopped)
4 Cups Chickpeas Stock
3 Cups Basmati Rice
1 tsp Salt Or As Required

Heat oil in a large pot.

Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Add cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, green cardamom, and cloves; sauté for a minute.

Stir in ginger garlic paste and crushed green chillies; cook for a couple of minutes.

Add boiled white chickpeas and mix well.

Season with salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, black pepper powder, crushed coriander seeds, and crushed fennel seeds; stir to combine.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.

Pour in chickpeas stock and bring to a boil.

Add basmati rice and additional salt if needed; stir gently.

Cover and cook until the rice is done and has absorbed all the liquid.
