Traditionally prepared during family gatherings and special occasions, it reflects the resourcefulness of home cooks who use seasonal vegetables. This dish has transcended borders, with variations found across the Middle East, showcasing the region's rich culinary heritage.

Add 2 cups of minced veal to a mixing bowl.
Add 2 cups of soaked Egyptian rice to the bowl.
Add 2 teaspoons of table salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper to the mixture.
Add 1 teaspoon of mixed spices and 1 teaspoon of saffron or turmeric depending on availability.
Add 1 tablespoon of cumin and 3 tablespoons of olive oil to the bowl.
Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
Use pre-hollowed zucchini to save time; this amount of filling will stuff exactly 42 zucchinis.
Stuff the zucchini, leaving about 2 cm empty for rice expansion.
Place the stuffed zucchini diagonally in a large pot for better cooking.
In another pot, mix 4 tablespoons of tomato paste with a bit of salt and black pepper.
Add 2 liters of water to the pot, using a ratio of 1 liter of water for every 2 tablespoons of tomato paste.
Put the pot on the stove and cook for 1 hour and 10 minutes, checking at 1 hour.
Add dried mint and garlic to the pot and stir the sauce over the zucchini for 5 minutes before turning off the heat.
