1

Start by cutting 2 onions into small cubes.

2

Cut 700 g of brown mushrooms into very small pieces.

3

Heat 4 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.

4

Add the 4 cups of wild rice to the pot and stir with the olive oil for a couple of minutes.

5

Boil 8 cups of water in a separate pot.

6

Add 1 clove of minced garlic to the wild rice and stir for a couple of minutes until fragrant.

7

Add the boiled water to the pot with the wild rice and mix well.

8

Add 4 beef bouillon cubes to the rice mixture and stir.

9

Cover the pot and let the rice cook for about 15-20 minutes, checking and mixing occasionally.

10

In a separate skillet, heat 4 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.

11

Add the diced onions to the skillet and sauté for about 4 minutes until browned.

12

Add the cut mushrooms to the skillet and sauté on medium-high heat to evaporate their moisture.

13

Add 1 tablespoon of dry fennel to the mushrooms and mix well, cooking for a few more minutes.

14

Check the wild rice; if there is still water, lift the lid to let it evaporate and cook until dry.
