Lamb Burgers with Mint and Feta

Originating from the Mediterranean, lamb burgers have become a popular American twist on traditional beef burgers. They celebrate the rich flavors of lamb, often enhanced with herbs like mint and tangy feta cheese. Today, these burgers are enjoyed at barbecues and casual dining spots across the U.S., showcasing a fusion of flavors that appeal to diverse palates.

Mix lamb with salt, mint, garlic, turmeric, and cinnamon in a bowl.
Heat a pan on high and then reduce to medium heat.
Form the lamb mixture into patties, approximately 7 ounces each.
Cook the lamb burgers in the hot pan for about 3 minutes on each side for medium well.
Flip the burgers and increase the heat slightly.
Place feta cheese on top of the burgers while they cook to melt it slightly.
Cover the pan for about 2 minutes to help melt the cheese.
Assemble the burger starting with lettuce on the bottom bun.
Spread a little hummus on the lettuce to help it stick.
Place the cooked lamb burger on the bun, then add more hummus on top.
Garnish with onion rings and sprinkle fresh mint on top.
