Vegetarian Tumis Tempe Tauco, Stir Fry Tempeh with Tauco

Slice tempeh into thin pieces.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.

Add minced garlic and sliced shallots; sauté until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

Stir in sliced red chili and cook for another minute.

Add the tempeh to the skillet and cook until lightly browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Incorporate green beans and carrots; stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.

Add tauco and soy sauce; mix well to coat the vegetables.

Pour in water and bring to a simmer; cook for 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Remove from heat and drizzle with lime juice.

Garnish with chopped scallions before serving.
