1

Start by grating 1/4 of an onion into a bowl with 1.5 pounds of ground chuck.

2

In a frying pan on a precision induction cooktop, add 3/4 of an onion and 8 ounces of sliced mushrooms and cook slowly at 230°F, then reduce to 200°F to let them sweat.

3

Once the onions and mushrooms are cooked, remove them from the pan.

4

Mix Worcestershire sauce into the ground chuck with the grated onion.

5

Form the ground chuck mixture into patties, making the middle thinner than the edges for even cooking.

6

Cook the patties in the same pan, turning the heat down to medium at 275°F.

7

Once the patties are cooked to your liking, remove them from the pan and set aside.

8

In the pan, add 1 tablespoon of dry onion soup mix and the previously cooked mushrooms and onions back into the pan.

9

Add 1/2 cup of sour cream to the mixture and stir to combine.

10

Return the cooked patties to the pan and let them simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
