1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1 Tsp Salt
Water as needed
1/2 cup Cooking Oil
1 medium Onion
4 Cloves
1/2 tsp Black pepper
1 Bay leaf
2 Black cardamom
1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
1 Tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
4-5 Chopped Green Chillies paste
1 large Sized Chopped Onion
2 Medium Sized Tomato paste
1 tsp Red chilli powder
1/2 Tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
1 Tsp Coriander Seeds Powder
1 tsp Cumin powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 Tbsp Lemon juice
2-3 Green chillies
Chopped Coriander Leaves
1/4 cup Cooking Oil
1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
3-4 Dry red chillies
1/4 Tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder

Cook the split chickpeas in water until tender.

In a pan, heat cooking oil and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, black cardamom, and cloves.

Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Stir in ginger garlic paste and chopped green chillies paste, cooking until fragrant.

Add tomato paste and cook until the oil separates.

Mix in turmeric powder, red chilli powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander seeds powder, cumin powder, and salt.

Add the cooked split chickpeas and water as needed to achieve desired consistency.

Finish with garam masala powder, lemon juice, and chopped coriander leaves.

In a separate small pan, heat additional cooking oil, add dry red chillies and cumin seeds, then pour over the dal for tadka.
