Add 4 tbsp yogurt and mix until dissolved.

Add chopped vegetables (cauliflower, carrots, green beans, potatoes) and a bit of boiling water; cover and cook for 8 minutes.

In a separate pot of boiling water, add cinnamon stick, 3 cardamoms, 3 cloves, and 1 tsp cumin seeds; mix well.

Add pre-washed and pre-soaked basmati rice (soaked for 15 mins) and boil on high heat for about 6-7 minutes until 80% cooked.

Grease a pan with butter or oil and add the first layer of rice.

Add the layer of cooked vegetables, followed by another layer of rice.

Drizzle with melted ghee (optional) and top with milk mixed with dissolved saffron.
