Boil the nasi impit for 10 minutes to soften it before cooking.

Wash the nasi impit using clean water 2-3 times to remove any dirt.

Fill a large pot with clean water, ensuring it covers the nasi impit.

Boil with moderate flame for 2 hours, adding more clean water if it dries out.

After 2 hours, discard the boiling water and drain the nasi impit, then let it cool before cutting.

Prepare sambal by roughly cutting 2 pieces of garlic and 11 pieces of chilies.

Mix the cut garlic and chilies with 1 tsp of sugar, 0.5 tbsp of salt, 2 oz of soy sauce, and a bit of water in a grinding machine and grind until mixed.

Pour the sambal into a bowl and set aside.

Prepare the five P by peeling and washing 6 cloves of garlic, 2 cloves of chili, and 2 inches of ginger, then blend them with some water.

Store the blended mixture in a container in the fridge for use tomorrow.

Turn on the cooker and add a little cooking oil.

Once the oil is hot, add the blended mixture and sauté for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Add lemongrass and the boiled chicken to the pot, then pour in the chicken stock and bring to a boil.

Add 0.5 tsp of salt to the boiling soup.

To serve, place a few pieces of nasi impit in a bowl, add shredded chicken, parsley, and bean sprouts (optional).

Top with fried onions and pour in chicken stock as desired, then add sambal to taste.
