500 ml water
4 to 5 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 tbsp black pepper, crushed
1/2 tbsp cumin
1/2 tbsp cumin powder
8 to 10 curry leaves
2 red chilies
1/2 tbsp mustard
2 tbsp ghee/clarified butter

Cut the tomato into half and add it to a pan.

Add 500 ml of water and allow it to cook for 5 to 10 min on low flame.

Switch off the stove when you see the tomato skin is peeling off.

Remove the tomato skin and crush the tomato and keep it aside.

In a pan, add 2 tbsp ghee; once it is hot, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Allow mustard to splutter.

Add the rest of the dry ingredients and sauté for a minute.

Add the crushed tomato mix to the pan, close the lid, and cook on medium flame for about 5 minutes.

Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
