Prepare the ingredients: measure out 2 cups of pasta, 1 pound of frozen seafood mix, 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, 1/2 cup of chopped onion, 3 minced garlic cloves, zest of 1 lemon, 1 1/2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2/3 cup of heavy cream, 1/2 cup of white wine, 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, 1 1/2 tablespoons of flour, fresh parsley for garnish, salt, 1/2 tablespoon of ground black pepper, crushed red pepper, and 1/2 cup of water.

Cook the pasta according to package instructions, seasoning the water with salt, a garlic clove, two bay leaves, and a tiny splash of olive oil to prevent sticking.

Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and set it aside.

Defrost the frozen seafood mix if using frozen seafood and set it aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter.

Add the seafood mix and about 3 tablespoons of fresh parsley to the skillet; stir, cover with a lid, and let it cook on medium-low heat for about 10 minutes or until the sauce comes to a boil and the seafood is cooked through.

Once the sauce is boiling and the seafood is cooked, combine the sauce with the drained pasta; add the remaining fresh parsley and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese; stir to combine.
