Prepare the recipe following the Bread maker's basic steps.

Place ingredients into the bread pan following the recipe order (or following the order and method specified in your bread maker's manual). Most machines require adding ingredients in this order: 1 Liquid, 2 Dry and 3 Yeast. Note: Make a slight indentation in the middle of the flour with a finger or knife. Add yeast to indentation, ensuring it does not come into contact with the liquid ingredients.

Select the Sweet (or Fruit & Nut) setting.

If available, choose crust colour and loaf size (1.5LB) and press the start button.

The weather can affect your ingredients. It is essential to adjust the dough accordingly so it's not too wet or too dry. To do this, during the second kneading cycle (after about 10 minutes), open the bread machine lid, check the dough and ensure that your bread turns out perfectly every time.

To prevent your bread from getting gummy and soggy, remove it from the bread maker as soon as it’s done baking. Turn the bread pan upside down onto a wire cooling rack.

Allow bread to cool for about 10–15 minutes before slicing.
