Ghanaian sausage rolls are a beloved snack, often enjoyed at parties and gatherings. They reflect the country's culinary tradition of combining savory fillings with flaky pastry. These rolls are typically filled with seasoned sausage meat, offering a delightful blend of flavors. In modern contexts, they are popular at street food stalls and have variations that include different meats and spices, showcasing the adaptability of this dish in Ghanaian cuisine.

Coconut oil offers a healthier fat option while margarine can be more economical.

Turkey sausage reduces fat content while ground beef is often less expensive.
In a clean large bowl, add all-purpose flour.
Add about 4 tablespoons of sugar.
Add baking powder.
Mix everything together until well incorporated.
Add salted butter and rub it into the flour until it resembles fine bread crumbs.
Add cold water a teaspoon at a time until the dough just comes together.
Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
Place sausage into a mini blender and add 2 eggs, half teaspoon aramat shrimp seasoning, and half teaspoon aroma chicken seasoning.
Blend until you achieve a nice consistency.
Set the filling aside once blended.
After chilling, place the dough on a floured surface and roll it out to the desired thickness.
Dust the working surface before rolling the dough.
Trim the dough sizes with a pizza cutter if needed.
Brush egg wash on the surface of the dough.
Place a spoonful of the sausage filling along one long edge of the dough.
Roll the dough tightly over the filling, avoiding overfilling.
Pinch the seam or press with a fork to seal the edges.
Cut the rolls into preferred shapes with a pizza cutter or knife.
Preheat the oven to 160°C.
Brush the tops with egg wash or milk and poke holes in the dough.
Bake in the oven for about 20 to 30 minutes, checking to avoid burning.
Let the rolls cool for a few minutes before serving.
