  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cup peas, boiled
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead to form a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. 2In a pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. 3Add the boiled and mashed potatoes, peas, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in chopped cilantro and remove from heat.
  4. 4Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a small circle.
  5. 5Place a spoonful of the potato filling in the center of each circle. Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges to form a dumpling.
  6. 6Bring a pot of water to a boil. Carefully drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook for about 10-12 minutes or until they float to the surface.
