2/3 cup water

Boil two peeled potatoes in a pressure cooker for 15 minutes.

Grind 2 green chilies, 25 g of garlic, and 25 g of ginger in a grinder.

Heat 15 ml of oil in a pan.

Put in a spoon of mustard seeds and let them pop.

Add a spoon of black gram seeds and sauté until golden brown.

Add a pinch of asfoetida, 1/4 spoon of turmeric, a sprig of curry leaves, and salt to taste; add the chili ginger paste and sauté and mix well, then take off the flame.

Mash the boiled potatoes and add the fried chili mixture to the potatoes.

Add a spoon of fennel powder, 1/4 spoon of turmeric powder, and salt to taste; mix well and form into small balls.

Take 100 g of chickpea flour and mix with 2/3 cup of water and salt to taste, along with 1/4 spoon of turmeric powder to make the batter.

Dip the potato balls in the batter and fry in a cavity pan with 2 ml of oil until golden brown.

Remove from the pan and serve.
