5 Classic Christmas Cookies | Holiday Cookies

- ●1 cup unsalted butter, softened

- ●1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
- 1Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- 3Add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
- 4Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- 5If using, fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- 6Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- 7Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass or your hand.
- 8Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- 9Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

- 9Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
- 10Once cooled, spread a teaspoon of raspberry jam on the solid cookies and top with the cut-out cookies.
- 11Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
